A big, boisterous, joyful, irreverent, hell-raising, fun-loving, muckracking, uninhibited, maverick spirit.
As such, she lives.

I just got in from a fifteen hour day and haven’t had time to read the memorials but I expect to find plenty, she changed the way we do things, was the first I ever heard say politics doesn’t have to be a stick-up-your-ass, that politics should be a free-for-all, completely fun and approachable for know-nothing hicks like me. Before her I was doing it all wrong. I’ve always worked in politics, and always gone at it wrong. I recognized that, laughed out loud and let it go.
As an empathic, multi-perspective liberal who is often hamstrung by a liberal, multi-perspective approach it can be hard for me to take a stand. But Molly kicks you in the pants, it’s not necessarily the stand she takes, but that she’s liberal and fair and multi-perspective and still manages to take a stand at all. That gets me thinking in firm ways, without stern and stubborn zealotry, and for that she had my trust like no other journalist has or will. She was of the earth and in the muck, food, drink, conversation, a broad of appetite and big personality clearing a path for the ones to follow, must have seen herself daily in the bloggers coming up. She done what she was born to do and now she rests, unforgettable, my dear Molly, that’s what you are.
